Wedding hashtag FAQ
What is a wedding hashtag?
A short tag guests add to their photos so every shot ends up in one place. Pick one, put it on the invitation, the ceremony program and a sign at the reception.
How long can it be?
Instagram allows up to 30 characters per hashtag. We flag anything over 20 in yellow, because longer tags are hard to read on a phone and get truncated in print.
How do I check if a hashtag is taken?
Every hashtag we generate has an “IG” link that opens Instagram's tag page in a new tab, so you can see how busy it is before you print anything.
Is it free?
Yes — no signup, no email, no data uploaded. Everything is generated locally in your browser and you can copy or download the whole list.
